Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which recently debuted on Netflix, may be what you’re looking for if you’re seeking for a gore drama based on real-life events. The infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer is portrayed in the 10-episode limited series by Emmy award wining actor Evan Peters.

Although Dahmer has been featured in television shows and motion pictures before, according to Netflix, this series is focused around the underserved victims and their communities affected by the systemic racism and administrative failures of the police that let one of America’s most notorious serial killers to continue his murdering spree in plain sight for almost a decade.

Who is Jeffrey Dahmer?

American serial killer and sex offender Jeffrey Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960. Dahmer committed gruesome murders between the years of 1978 and 1991. His operation methods included cannibalism, necrophilia, rape, and dismemberment.

Dahmer performed exceptionally gruesome acts with his victims’ corpses, including continuing to use bodies for intercourse, photographing the process of dismemberment, meticulously preserving the skulls and genitalia for exhibition, and even keeping body parts for consumption.

How many victims were there?

Jeffrey Dahmer allegedly killed 17 people between 1978 and 1991. He preyed on men, usually guys who were Black, Asian, or Latino.

Where did Dahmer select his victims?

Jeffrey was methodical in how he tracked down and executed his prey. He frequently picked up the victims at gay clubs, shopping malls, and bus stations before luring them back to his house with promises of either money or intimacy.

When did Dahmer make his first kill?

Immediately following his 1978 Ohio high school graduation, Dahmer killed his first victim and used a barbell to kill him. According to the New York Times, he claimed to have picked up Steven Hicks as a hitchhiker, taken him home for a beverage, and then engaged in sexual activity with him.

Dahmer strangled Hicks after hitting the back of his head with a barbell when he tried to leave. He broke the body into pieces and put it in waste bags after dragging it into a crawl area under the house.

Who were the other victims?

According to Deseret News, the following is a list of the victims Jeffrey admitted to killing:

Ricky Beeks (33) ,Joseph Bradehoft (25 ), Jamie Doxtator (14) , Richard Guerrero (25) , Anthony Hughes (31 ), Oliver Lacy (23) , Errol Lindsey (19 ), Ernest Miller (22) , Anthony Sears (26), Konerak Sinthasomphone (14), Edward W. Smith (28) , Curtis Straughter (18) , David C. Thomas (23), Matt Turner (20) , Jeremy Weinberger (23).

Was Dahmer ever convicted?

According to History, Jeffrey was eventually given 15 consecutive life sentences for the deaths of these men in 1992. Two years after starting to serve his term, he was beaten to death in the gym at the Columbia Correctional Institute by another prisoner.
Despite being deceased for almost 30 years, Jeffrey Dahmer still haunts whoever reads about his crimes.

It’s finally time for Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, so don’t keep calm and press play! The 10-episode limited series debuted on Wednesday, September 21, and is currently streaming on Netflix.

In addition to the latest limited series on Netflix, “My Friend Dahmer,” is a 2017 movie based on an acclaimed graphic novel by a former classmate, John “Derf” Backderf, Dahmer also had an appearance in the 2002 horror movie “Dahmer,” in which Jeremy Renner portrayed the serial killer. The low-budget film, which is also accessible on Netflix, was written and directed by David Jacobson.
