The 2021 Grammy Awards were held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on 14th March 2021. Due to the pandemic, there was no live audience and a limited number of performers and nominees were present in person at the venue.

Hosted by Trevor Noah, the 63rd edition of the Grammys was high anticipated, with performances by Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BTS, Post Malone, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

Singer Beyonce went into the awards night with a total of nine nominations, the most of any artist for the night. And, at the end of the ceremony, she broke the record for the most Grammys won by a woman, and any singer, male or female, with a whopping 28 Grammys. She also tied the record with music impresario Quincy Jones as the living person with the most Grammys.

Beyonce’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who is merely nine years old, won her first Grammy for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl,” becoming the second youngest ever to receive the prestigious honour. The youngest to win the award is Leah Peasall, who won in 2001 at the age of 8.

The big three Grammys, however, were awarded to teenage sensation Billie Eilish (Record of the Year for Everything I Wanted), Taylor Swift (Album of the Year for Folkore), and H.E.R (Song of the Year for I Can’t Breathe). One of the other big winners of the night was Megan Thee Stallion who scored three Grammys – Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance for Savage. Meanwhile, Harry Styles won his first ever Grammy for best pop solo performance.
