The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival is the largest of its kind in the world. It is held in Harbin in the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, China annually and opens to the public officially on 5th January and goes on for a month.

It features frozen castles, ice lanterns, snow sculptures, and fireworks, drawing millions of people from across the globe. In the nights, these displays are illuminated beautifully. Several thousand artists have built their displays for this year in the city using over 100,000 cubic metres of ice and an equal amount of snow.
