1. Hotel Cerro, San Luis Obispo, California
- The most attractive new luxury hotel on California’s Central Coast is Hotel Cerro, which is tucked away in the middle of San Luis Obispo’s downtown. Only 65 loft-style rooms make up the hotel, 14 of which are suites with soaking tubs, fireplaces, and private balconies with firepits.
- In addition, it’s environmentally friendly: the LEED-certified hotel uses less single-use plastics and provides free bottles of water to guests, with filtering refill stations placed on each level. Additionally, the hotel has its own delicious organic gardens where seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs are grown for daily use in the SLO Brasserie restaurant.

2. 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, Hawaii
- With the inauguration of its Kauai location in February 2023, 1 Hotels will introduce its distinctive brand of environmentally friendly luxury to Hawaii. Its 252 rooms will be furnished with recycled wood, have beds covered in organic cotton sheets, and have lots of local vegetation.
- The resort is carbon neutral and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified, like all 1 Hotels. It will also restrict single-use plastics and collaborate closely with regional farmers and fishermen to source food for its restaurants.
- Apart from sustainability, the hotel’s location is its main selling point. It provides some of Hawaii’s most beautiful views from the hotel’s expansive Sunset Terrace, which is tucked away on the beach of Hanalei Bay behind the lush, towering cliffs of Makana Mountain.

3. Banyan Tree Ilha Caldeira, Mozambique
- Banyan Tree’s newest resort can make you feel like a castaway stranded on a secluded island, even though it has individual plunge pools, with just Forty thatched-roof villas dispersed over a small tropical island just off the coast of Mozambique.
- In addition to swimming and tanning, the resort will provide sports like kayaking, snorkeling, & scuba diving in the Primeiras & Segundas Archipelago, which includes Ilha Caldeira and is Africa’s largest marine reserve. - The Nambiti Private Game Reserve is home to 12 rooms that are as luxurious as they are sustainable, making this new eco-aware luxury safari lodge the stuff of bucket list fantasies.
- The Homestead will provide a wide range of experiences, such as wildlife photography lessons, bicycling expeditions, cooking with local ingredients, and participating in sustainability initiatives, whereas many safaris concentrate just on game drives. There is also an infinity pool with views of the savannah for those who like to unwind, which is ideal for relaxing while sipping a G&T. The Homestead is expected to debut in late 2023.

5. The Peninsula Istanbul, Turkey
- The Peninsula Istanbul is a sanctuary in the hectic center of Turkey’s most well-known city, complete with lushly planted gardens and panoramic water views as it lies on the shores of the Bosphorus Strait.

Beginning in May 2023, visitors can reserve a stay within one of Shinta Mani Mustang’s 29 suites, each of which is designed to resemble a traditional Tibetan residence and offers breathtaking Himalayan views.
- Although there is a farm-to-table restaurant and a wonderful spa at the lodge, visitors are encouraged to spend some time outside the grounds. The highly customized guest experience program at Shinta Mani upholds the customs of Sherpa hospitality and provides visitors with a range of options, including leisurely gourmet picnics and guided, off-the-beaten-path treks.

7. The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, Mexico
- The St. Regis Kanai astounds guests right away with its surreal design, which was inspired by the geometry of the nearby mangroves and the Pleiades star cluster, which holds special significance for Mayan tradition. The resort is divided into intersecting circles and is made of white cement and reflective crystal. It is tucked away in a 620-acre natural reserve on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.
- Ocean views will be available from all 124 guestrooms, 20 suites, and 32 extra villas with private infinity pools. 8. The Anam Mui Ne, Vietnam
- A few resorts are scheduled to debut in Vietnam in 2023, but the spotlight is on The Anam Mui Ne, a standalone resort (owned by Vietnamese hotelier Pham Van Hien) launching in Southeast Vietnam in January.
- Its exquisite Indochine-inspired design has a unique quality—consider the hand-laid mosaic tiles, the cornice detailing, the statues on plinths, the clawfoot bathtubs, and the leather-bound tables.
- The 127 rooms at The Anam each have a unique painting by a Vietnamese artist that tells the history of the nation. Even the woodwork is made by hand by regional artisans using wood from sustainable Vietnamese harvesting. The Anam is more than just a five-star hotel; it’s a love letter to Vietnam. Prices starting at $260.
9. Hôtel Dame des Arts, Paris, France
- There are undoubtedly hotels in Paris that are bigger and flashier, but it’s likely that they lack the heart and character of this brand-new boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter. Just 109 rooms make up Hôtel Dame des Arts, yet each one is lovingly furnished with custom furnishings and striking original art (each room has its own collection). Private patios with sights of the Eiffel Tower are on one-third of the units.
