1. Hamilton Pool Preserve, Texas

Valley of Fire State Park is among the best-undiscovered vacation spots in the US & a terrific place to visit if you’re in Las Vegas. It spans about 40,000 acres of red Aztec sandstone. To discover further about petrified trees & petroglyphs older than 2,000 years, be sure to visit the ‘visitor center’. 6. Cache River State Natural Area, Illinois
In southernmost Illinois, the Cache River State Natural Area has been named a “Wetland of International Importance.” Glass Hill, Lower Cache River Swamps, & Little Black Slough are the three distinct zones that make up the park.

The 57-foot waterfall’s water is amber in hue thanks to the tannic acid in the leaves of hemlock & red spruce trees. There are steps & numerous viewing spots from where one can see the waterfall. The park also offers various other activities like fishing, swimming, geocaching, camping, & hiking.
