OUT NOW: HBO's "The last of us" Trailer

The first official trailer for HBO's much awaited "The Last of Us" TV series was released on 26 Sep.

The action-adventure game from 2013 that sold 17M copies served as the inspiration for this series.

Pedro Pascal, who portrayed Joel in "The Mandalorian," is the protagonist.

He travels with Bella Ramsey's character, Ellie, who is an integral part in the search for a cure for the zombie virus.

In the series, the new virus can transform victims into shambling monsters known as "clickers."

the day the trailer was released, Sep 26, is also known as "Outbreak Day" in the "The Last of Us" community.

Neil Druckmann serves as a co-creator alongside Craig Mazin, the Emmy-winning creator of “Chernobyl".

The series will stream on HBO Max. The release date is anticipated to be sometime in 2023.
