Pixar Just Announced inside out 2!
Pixar revealed Friday at D23, the Disney fan expo, that "Inside Out," a famous animated picture, will get a sequel.
Amy Poehler, who voiced "Joy" in the original film, revealed the news after appearing onstage along with director Pete Docter.
Kelsey Mann will direct the sequel. The script will be written by Meg LeFauve, who also co-wrote the original.
Riley, the lead character in the last and upcoming movie, would continue with her emotional outbursts, now as a teenager rather than a young girl.
Other feelings depicted in the first movie, besides Joy, were Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), and Anger (Phyllis Smith) (Lewis Black).
"Inside Out" made $858.8 million at the box office worldwide, ranking as one of the highest-grossing movies of 2015.
The movie received two Oscar nominations, including one for best writing, and it won for best animated feature.
According to Docter, the movie is still in production and will hit theatres in the summer of 2024.
